Traversing Cape Town’s silent inner-city streets on his delivery bike, Paul Mwasi, a Malawian immigrant new to the city, irks out a life during the surreal months of corona lockdown. Delivering food door to door, he meets a world of gates, empty streets and silent stares, his only lifeline a cellphone connecting him to his work and his family, digital faces illuminating him.

 

Short Fiction Film - Until The Silence Comes follows two black characters as they navigate the post-colonial city of Cape Town. The first, a waitress in a racist white service industry, the second, a hired killer, trapped in an industry of violence. Connecting both is an ancestry buried in the bones of their city.

 

Poetry Short Film - The Jaguars Daughter is a film adaptation of a poem of the same name, written by Daniel Boodoo-Fortune. The story loosely follows the journey of a women at three different stages in her life, reflecting on the absence(s) of her father.

Music Video - The Brother Moves On After winning the British Councils Future Music Series the Brother Moves on travelled to London to play Roundhouse Rising a festival headlined by Little Simz. They travelled with South African DJ Wildebeats whose remix is a homage to February in London.
